Travel Information


This page contains some indications on how to reach the main train stations of Torino, Porta Nuova and Porta Susa, and from there the conference location in the city center, near Piazza Castello.


Since Google Maps has a convention with the public transport society, this search engine may be a useful tool to reach whatever destination during your stay.

In addition, here you can find the city public transport.

From Airports to Torino train stations


From Torino Airport

Coming by plane, the closest airport is the "Sandro Pertini" international airport in Torino (TRN), also known as Caselle Airport. From the Airport, to reach Torino you may take:

  1. the "Arriva bus service" directly from the airport to Torino Porta Nuova Station (One-way fare: 7,50 €). Bus tickets can be purchased in the following ways:

  • at the Airport Terminal Ticket Machines;

  • by Arriva MyPay app;

  • on board with contactless credit card;

  • on board with the right amount, subject to an extra charge of 1 €.

Please notice that passengers are advised to obtain a ticket before boarding.

  1. the connecting GTT train between Caselle airport and Venaria.
    The connection Venaria - Torino Porta Susa is guaranteed by the buses of the SF2 line.
    The airport railway station is located few metres away in front of the Air Terminal, at Arrivals Level. Tickets can be purchased at the point of information and sales services dedicated to tourism in the Arrivals Area, and at the ticket machine at the railway station of the airport.

  2. a taxi from Torino airport for the whole trip to Torino city center (a trip to the city center may cost around 30/50 €).

From Milano Malpensa Airport

Coming by plane at the Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP), you may take the ”Arriva bus service" as well and get off at the Torino Bus station “Corso Bolzano” (Porta Susa FS) (One-way fare: 22,00 €). Bus tickets can be purchased

  1. at the authorized ticket Arriva resellers in the Arrival Area of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2;

  2. online from the Arriva Italia estore;

  3. on board, subject to the free seats availability.

Alternatively, the Malpensa Express airport service (by train or bus) connects Malpensa Airport and Milan Central Station, and from there you may reach Torino Porta Nuova station. For train timetables, visit the national train company website.

It is also possible to directly reach Torino (Vittorio Emanuele stop) by Flixbus bus service. From Vittorio Emanuele stop you may reach Torino Porta Nuova station by bus line 68 or tram line 9, from "Ferrucci" (Corso Vittorio Emanuele, before Adriano square) to "Porta Nuova" stop.



From Milano Bergamo Airport

Coming by plane at the Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) you may reach Milan Central station by direct bus Orioshuttle (Line 1) or Autostradale bus (One-way fare: 12 euros; if it is purchased online, the price is 10 euros). From there you can reach Torino Porta Nuova station by train.

Otherwise, you may take the ATB bus service to Bergamo train station (One-way fare: 2,40 euros) and then reach Milan Central station by train and from there reach Torino Porta Nuova station.

It is also possible to directly reach Torino (Vittorio Emanuele stop) by Flixbus or Itabus bus services. From Vittorio Emanuele stop you may reach Torino Porta Nuova station by bus line 68 or tram line 9, from "Ferrucci" (Corso Vittorio Emanuele, before Adriano square) to "Porta Nuova" stop.

From Torino train stations to the Conference Venues



From Torino Porta Nuova to Auditorium Aldo Moro

From Torino Porta Nuova, the Conference venue can be reached in 20 minutes on foot: once out of the station, take via Roma (in front of the main entry) to piazza Castello. Crossing Piazza Castello, right on the other side of "Palazzo Madama", you can find the beginning of Via Verdi, very close to Via Po, one of the main streets. Walk along Via Verdi up to the corner with Via Sant’Ottavio.

Otherwise, you may take bus 61 at “Vittorio Emanuele II Cap.” stop and get off at the “Sant’Ottavio” stop. The Conference venue is a few minutes walk. You may also take buses 6, 68 at the "Porta Nuova" stop along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and get off at the "Verdi" stop. The Conference venue is a few minutes walk.

Alternatively, you may take tram line 15 at the "Porta Nuova" stop in Via Sacchi and get off at the “Sant’Ottavio” stop. The Conference venue is a few minutes walk.


From Torino Porta Susa to Auditorium Aldo Moro

From Torino Porta Susa, you may take bus 56 or tram line 13 at the "XVIII Dicembre" stop in Piazza XVIII Dicembre, and get off at the stop “Sant’Ottavio”. The Conference venue is a few minutes walk.

You may also take bus 55 at the “Porta Susa Sud” stop (Corso Matteotti 55), and get off at the “Sant’Ottavio” stop. The Conference venue is a few minutes walk.


From Torino Porta Nuova to Aula Magna Cavallerizza Reale

From Torino Porta Nuova, the Conference venue can be reached in 15/20 minutes on foot: once out of the station, take via Roma (in front of the main entry) to piazza Castello. Crossing Piazza Castello, right on the other side of "Palazzo Madama", you can find the beginning of Via Verdi, very close to Via Po, one of the main streets.

Otherwise, you may take buses 6, 68 at the "Porta Nuova" stop along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and get off at the stop "Verdi". You may also take tram line 4 at the "Porta Nuova" stop in Via Sacchi, get off at the “Garibaldi” stop and walk along Via Garibaldi to Piazza Castello.

Alternatively, you may also take tram line 15 at the "Porta Nuova" stop in Via Sacchi and get off at the stop “Castello” or at the stop “Accademia Albertina”. The conference venue is a few minutes walk.


From Torino Porta Susa to Aula Magna Cavallerizza Reale

From Torino Porta Susa, you may take bus 56 or tram line 13 at the "XVIII Dicembre" stop in Piazza XVIII Dicembre, and get off at the stop “Castello” or at the stop “Accademia Albertina”. The Conference venue is a few minutes walk.

You may also take bus 19 at the “Porta Susa Cap.” stop in Corso Bolzano, get off at the “Garibaldi” stop and walk along Via Garibaldi to Piazza Castello. Crossing Piazza Castello, right on the other side of "Palazzo Madama", you can find the beginning of Via Verdi, very close to Via Po, one of the main streets.
